Beginning with own inner experience, AN TUMMA explores identity and desire, freedom and constraint, shadow and strength, and the forces that shape our experience of ourselves and the world.

Her paintings resist a single interpretation, leaving space for ambiguity and intuition.

Through expressive colour and simplified forms, AN TUMMA translates complex inner experiences into direct visual metaphors. Mirrors, light and ordinary objects become symbols — open to projection and association, with meanings that shift with the viewer.
